VALENTIN VICTOR SERDYUK
Was born in Nikolaev, Ukraine, in 1942. Together with family relocated to Odessa in 1944. Here he went through the educational system. After graduation from Medical Faculty of Odessa Medical Institute in 1966 became a physician. Until 1971 worked as a general surgeon, from 1971 till 1974 - internship in traumatology and orthopedics. The Candidate`s thesis was devoted to Achilles tendon ruptures. The Doctor`s thesis was devoted to open intrajoint fractures, complicated with purulent infection. From 1986- V. Serdyuk is a doctor of medical sciences and from 1991-professor of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of Odessa Medical University and the Director of Traumatological Clinic Ή 3 in the City Hospital Ή 11 of Odessa.
Dr. Med. Prof. Valentin Serdyuk is the author of more than 230 printed works, including 4 books, one scientific discovery, 33 inventions, more than 65 suggestions for the improvement of operations and instruments. He had participated in a number of medical local and international exhibitions, his inventions were decorated with one gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
His activity had developed in three main directions:

• Reconstructing orthopedic surgery.
• Investigations devoted to treatment of patients with scoliosis deformation and spinal pain syndrome.
• Investigations, devoted to usage of magnetotherapy in a complex treatment of surgical and traumatological patients.
